The other day I wanted to check out a new TV show on the Starz website. Unfortunately, when I tried to play it in the desktop version of Internet Explorer 11 on Windows 8.1 , all I saw was the error message below.

Enable Flash Player in IE 11

To make it work, launch Internet Explorer 11 and click Options (gear icon at the top right-corner) and then click “Manage add-ons”.

In the next window select Toolbars and Extensions, and in the right pane scroll down to Shockwave Flash Object. Right-click on it and select Enable.

After that, go back to the page you wanted to view and it should work without a problem.

This is what worked for me, but since every system is configured differently – different apps, settings, etc. there could be other reasons it’s not working. To find more possible fixes, check out this thread on the Microsoft Community forum. Chat with them on Mypctechexpert.com Moreover if you start Internet Explorer from the app, click the circeled wrench at the bottom and choose “Show on desktop” the problems reappear!!! Seems to me that Microsoft is destinied to make us traditional moorons to accept their new way of access to the Internet. Comment Name * Email *
