The Sets feature is like having multiple web pages open in your browser, but this is for apps. “With Sets, 1st party experiences like Mail, Calendar, OneNote, MSN News, Windows and Microsoft Edge become more integrated to create a seamless experience, so you can get back to what’s important and be productive,” explain Microsoft’s Dona Sarkar and Brandon LeBlanc....

So, if you’re on the bleeding edge with the Fast Ring enabled, check to see if the build is ready for you to download through Windows Update. For now the company is rolling the new build out via Windows Update. According to Gabe Aul, the leader of the program, ISO builds will be coming however the Fast ring builds will be available by direct download only. Windows RT is the new (metro, modern) Tile interface found in Windows 8. It’s a whole different world folks, and Microsoft isn’t turning back. This is important to keep in mind if you’re considering purchasing a new computer. Definitely make sure it has the correct version of Windows that you need to get things done. RT is currently limited in a lot of ways when it comes to running desktop applications....

This is yet another addition to Microsoft’s growing collection of entertainment apps on the Xbox. It seems the company isn’t worried about keeping only its proprietary Xbox Music service on the console. Giving customers choice should help Microsoft’s goal to be the main set-top box in living rooms everywhere. I fired up my Xbox 360 and found it under Music Apps. If you don’t see it on the Xbox Dashboard yet, don’t worry, it’s rolling as rolling out to everyone and you should see it soon....

And now, the Spotify service is baked in, and you can play music directly from the streaming music service. Previously you could play music from Spotify but had to stream it from your phone or other mobile devices via Bluetooth to the Echo. You might not necessarily want your slides to be vertical, however, especially if you’re planning on printing them out. First, log in to your Google account. It’s not necessary to login to change the settings, but logging in lets you save your settings. Then click the gear icon. Then select Search Settings. Scroll down and find the Where Results Open and check Open Each Selected Result in a New Browser Window. Then make sure to save your selection. Click OK to the confirmation dialog message. And, sometimes things go wrong at Redmond. For example, this week the company sent out a broken build for PC and Mobile to Insiders in both Slow and Fast rings.
