With being part of the Mobile Insider program, your phone doesn’t get the latest firmware updates as they are only available to the production builds. You do get the most recent software, but your phone’s firmware is left to wait. But Microsoft announced today that there’s a new option. Microsoft is looking into accidental Halo 4 bans. Players who downloaded the free Crimson Map Pack are no longer allowed to access certain online parts of the game. Now Halo 4 owners are who downloaded the DLC are voicing their frustration on the game’s official forums. As website Kotaku notes, this is not an account ban, it’s only locking players out of portions of online gameplay. Regardless, it’s a major annoyance for fans of the series....

According to the release notes, Microsoft says: This feature might seem redundant since you need your fingerprint to unlock your device in the first place. That’s all well and good if you never share your phone with anyone. However, if you do share you phone, this extra security measure is an excellent addition. Windows 10 Build 21337 You can now customize and organize your virtual desktops. “Virtual Desktops help you cognitively separate different tasks on your PC, including helping to create work-life separation. They can be swapped into view, letting you shift your work from one desktop to another. Instead of juggling multiple windows, you can switch between Virtual Desktops to multitask,” notes Microsoft. Windows 10 Build 21376 Microsoft notes in today’s release announcement that it is introducing an updated Segoe UI font. “We are introducing Segoe UI Variable which includes an optical axis so that font outlines can scale seamlessly from small to larger display sizes. Segoe UI Variable is a refreshed take on the classic Segoe, now with improved legibility at small sizes, and much improved outlines at display sizes. Please note: While Segoe UI Variable is included as part of the OS, its adoption across all the visual surface areas is ongoing and will roll out progressively over time....

Windows 10 RS5 Build 17655 Mobile Broadband in this version is getting a makeover as the company is transforming the networking stack with the Net Adapter Framework. The same source says that it will have front and back cameras, as well as a retina display, but another source told Rose that the display will have a higher dpi, but it technically won’t be a retina one. Now, considering the fact that the iPad’s display resolution is already great – 1024 x 768 at 9.7 inches, this thing should be pretty groovy retina or no retina. By default Office 2010 gathers as much data as possible to assist you with document searches and usability. A quick view of the documents properties will bring up just some of the data stored as meta tags. This view can include authors name, title, subject, keywords, category, status, and any comments. OnLive Desktop Standard Last night I launched OnLive Desktop Standard on my iPad. I noticed two new icons…Internet Explorer 9 and Adobe Reader. The ability to work on MS Office Files with your iPad OnLive Desktop has always been available. Now Standard account users can sync PDF files among your computer systems and read them. The Standard version includes Internet Explorer 9, but not Adobe Flash.Since free Standard accounts don’t have Flash, general web browsing isn’t supported....
