KB4515384 for Windows 10 1903 May 2019 Update
As is usually the case for cumulative updates, there are no new features to report. But today’s update will bump your build to 18362.356 and it includes the following fixes and improvements:
Provides protections against a new subclass of speculative execution side-channel vulnerabilities, known as Microarchitectural Data Sampling, for 32-Bit (x86) versions of Windows (CVE-2019-11091, CVE-2018-12126, CVE-2018-12127, CVE-2018-12130). Use the registry settings as described in the Windows Client and Windows Server articles. (These registry settings are enabled by default for Windows Client OS editions and Windows Server OS editions.)Addresses an issue that causes high CPU usage from SearchUI.exe for a small number of users. This issue only occurs on devices that have disabled searching the web using Windows Desktop Search.Security updates to Microsoft Edge, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Scripting Engine, Windows App Platform and Frameworks, Windows Input and Composition, Windows Media, Windows Fundamentals, Windows Authentication, Windows Cryptography, Windows Datacenter Networking, Windows Storage and Filesystems, Windows Wireless Networking, the Microsoft JET Database Engine, Windows Kernel, Windows Virtualization, and Windows Server.
If you have automatic updates enabled, you should see the updates in the next couple of days. Or, if you want to stay on top of things (and having the CPU spiking issue) head to Settings > Update & Security > Microsoft Update and check. Or, you can manually install it by downloading it from the Microsoft Update Catalog. Remember, a full system restart is required to complete the install process. Remember that older supported versions of Windows 10 are receiving patches today, too. Also, keep in mind that there are a few known issues with these updates which vary depending on the version of the version you’re running. For Windows 10 version 2004 May 2020 Update today’s cumulative updates come as KB4571756. It includes the following highlights:
