What’s included in the new SP1?  I’ll write down a few of my favorite features below however for all the new goodness details, take a look at the What’s New in Exchange 2010 SP1 article on Technet for all the dirty details.

What’s New – (and my comments…)

New Deployment Functionality ( Yawn…)Client Access Server Role Improvements ( Very cool!  Federation, ActiveSync upgrades! )Improvements in the Transport Functionality ( Yawn… )Permissions Updates ( Yawn… Security geeks will be happy )Mail Store and Mailbox Upgrades ( Less corruption – that’s good )High Availability and Site Resilience Updates (VERY GROOVY!!!)Message Policy / Compliance features (YAHOO!!!)Unified Messaging Improvements (YAHOO!!!)Audit Logging ( Security geeks will be happy )Support for Co-existence with Exchange Online – ( AKA BPOS.  Why would Microsoft want to make it easier to outsource EMAIL to them???    )Support for Multi-Tenancy ( Yawn… )

A lot of new upgrades and features which should be considered ASAP if your either planning to go Exchange 2010 or have already gone Exchange 2010.  For me, Exchange 2010 is HUGE from a DR standpoint as well as a cost saving standpoint being that you can finally run Exchange on big slow disk!  Groovy baby yeah!
