Well that was fast. On Thursday the FAA announced that it would allow personal devices to be turned on during all phases of flight from takeoff to landing. This came with the clause that airlines would have to have their planes inspected for possible frequency interference and if passed would then be able to allow passengers to use their devices from gate to gate. Delta was the first to pass testing and began allowing devices the same day the announcement passed....

TIDAL for Plex The TIDAL service offers over 60 million songs, 244,000 music videos, thousands of curated playlists, and hundreds of live concert events. This fits in well with Plex’s goal of providing its users access to more streaming content for various online sources. “An incredible music and media experience is something that matters to both TIDAL and Plex users,” writes Plex CEO, Keith Valory. Plex Partners with Lionsgate Lionsgate studio will join Plex’s existing partner Warner Bros. to further grow its library of content planned for the new service. However, unlike the deal with Warner Bros., which is limited to U.S. users only, Lionsgate content will be available for Plex users worldwide. However, Plex did note that there may be a few titles with geo-restrictions. “Lionsgate is one of the biggest names in the business and we know our millions of users will enjoy free access to their library of movies,” said Keith Valory, CEO of Plex....

She had read a blog post about turning one of these into a video baby monitor, and that’s what we did. We ended up using it a ton. What Is It? Sketches Pro is a painting program that gives you a ton of tools and brushes. Since my artistic skills are stuck in the stick figure stage, I couldn’t do much testing here. I wasn’t even sure about the difference between the tools. Despite my limitations, I still had some fun just doodling with it. I generally use Penultimate for the iPad for stuff like this. Unlike Penultimate, Sketches Pro works on both the iPad and iPhone....

Blocking Gmail Ads Start by installing the Chrome add-on. You can do so from the Chrome Web Store, here. Here’s a before shot with the Ads I normally see before enabling the plugin.
