Via Microsoft Information about the script is light on details, but as earlier suspected; the issue is related to the bundled XBOX app, which according to the Update History page, KB3194496 includes a fix that addresses: An accompanying KB article, KB3197794, should provide more details, but is currently unavailable at this time. Windows 10 19H1 Build 18317 Cortana and Search are getting separated in today’s new build. Moving forward Search and Cortana will be decoupled on the taskbar. Supported browsers like Chrome and Firefox have already been patched using their own auto-updating mechanisms. The problem is that Microsoft Edge was still vulnerable because of the delay as it relies on Microsoft’s regular Patch Tuesday to get updated.
