Steam announced that it would start selling software. Although the collection isn’t too large yet, there’s potential to grow this model. If you use the service for your gaming needs, you can use it for your software programs too. For now, there are eight programs on offer: ArtRage Studio Pro, CameraBag 2, GameMaker: Studio, 3D-Coat, 3DMark Vantage, 3DMark 11 and Source Filmmaker. Valve’s popular video game distribution platform, Steam, is looking to soon expand into selling additional software. According to Valve’s Mark Richardson: “The 40 million gamers frequenting Steam are interested in more than playing games.” They have told us they would like to have more of their software on Steam, so this expansion is in response to those customer requests.” This news doesn’t come as a surprise; after all, it seems like everyone is jumping in and following Apple’s App Store example....

Normally, I use Filezilla for FTP. It’s open source, it’s free, and it packs some nice features. But if I’m out of the office and I don’t have my laptop with me then I’m cut off from Filezilla access which has all my accounts cached. These updates include a security update, and emergency patch that affected all versions of Windows, and another update three days ago. This latest updates include (KB3074679) which is the main one being reported, and I also received (KB3074686) which is a cumulative security update, and contains “non–security-related changes to enhance the functionality of Windows 10”....
